Turkish Events at Cosmo

Members of the Turkish Student Association (TSA) presented a Turkish dinner and a Turkish coffee hour this semester. The pictures on this page highlight these events. The Turkish Student Association at UIUC was established in the early 50s.

Halil Ceylan (TSA Vice-President) welcomed guests to the Turkish coffee hour in traditional Turkish costume.

Umut Türem played the Ud, a traditional Turkish classical instrument, at the Turkish coffee hour. Umut has just arrived in the U.S. and is an active member of TSA.
