In December 2000 - Jan 2001, I went on a backpacking trip in the highlands of Scotland with my cousins Ash and Tony.  We had a blast!! It was unbelievably and achingly beautiful, so I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.  If you are planning a trip to Great Britain, you owe it to yourself to visit the Highland folk who welcome all strangers except the English. (Wish I could say something nice about their vegetarian cuisine, but the frozen curries were pretty good :-)  I also heralded the new Millenium with 3.5 million other souls from all over the world somewhere by the Thames near the Big Ben. It was a blast, and the largest gathering of humans I have witnessed, which is saying something for an Indian. We spent what was left of the night sleeping on the carpet in the departure hall at Euston Station.  I will add other pictures to this page soon.
